Worst book ever, and why.

Everyone talks about the books that inspire them, move them, and change their lives forever. But what was the name of that book you hated, wanted to burn it or throw it out the window the entire time you were reading it, but you still finished? I want to know what you think the worst book is and why.

My vote is Forrest Gump. I love the movie, and have watched it over fifty times in my life, but the book angered me. I almost Hulked out.

I think the book that most disappointed me was "The Gargoyle", by Andrew Davidson. At one point I read the first chapter and adored it, but I didn't buy the book until a year later. For some reason, within that year, my tastes must have completely changed. I found it undeserving of the beauty it thought it had, and some of the similes were so awful that I had to throw the book across the room, where it remained until I had resolved myself.
